I made estimated payroll taxes as a Household Employer in 2024. on Form H  I provided my Federal Tax ID number. I don't see anywhere to enter my State Tax ID number. Where do I provide this number?

You wouldn't need to enter your state tax ID number on your federal tax forms. Only your federal tax ID (in your case, your EIN) is needed on the Schedule H.

    Thank you for your response.

Is there somewhere else to enter the state tax id number?

How does the state know I prepaid my state payroll taxes?

    Thanks!

    1. No. The federal asks for your state unemployment payments.  State tax paid is a state issue. State and federal taxes must be paid quarterly by all employers. Taxes are paid in the quarter the income is earned.

    2. Do you mean the payroll tax for your employee, under their name and number? That is part of their state tax return. The money you withheld from your employee for taxes isn't reported. The Sch H is to report your share of the taxes, Medicare and Social Security.
