State tax returns prepared by turbo tax

If turbo tax tells me to file my state return by mail and doesn’t give the option for efile, can I just efile using the information from return with a company listed for free on the state website instead ? Or do I have to mail the return that was prepared by turbo tax?

It might be that not all the forms in your return have been finalized yet. If you have Draft forms in your return, it would not allow you to finish your return and efile.
