TT Doesn't List States to Delete

How to delete states that show up in my TT, but I do not need to use them and want to delete. TT Desktop (PC). I go to file-Delete State Return and a window pops up that says select state you want to delete. But the window doesn't show the states I inadvertently added and want to delete. I haven't started them or paid for them

You are able to remove a state tax return from an individual income tax return in TurboTax Desktop by following these steps:

Select File in the upper left hand corner of the screen.
Select Remove state return.
Select the state to remove.
Click Remove.

Are the states that you want to remove listed under Your State Returns or Other installed states?
