Turbotax is asking me to add my Box 15 - State. I work and live in Tennessee. Which has no state income tax, therefore the state is not listed. What do I select?

Make sure Box 16 and Box 17 are also blank.

Some people are reporting the state income in Box 16 for a state with no income tax. They should be leaving that box blank.

Several states do not have a state income tax. So these states will not show up in certain drop down lists. Leave boxes 15, 16, and 17 blank when you enter a W-2 for these states.

Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wyoming
