Question

US treasury interest not being deducted from state

Entered interest on federal. Stated from US treasury.

Is not being deducted from state. I see no other way to enter it or make adjustments like stating it’s not state taxable.

If I go to state return and click review, all I get is “congratulations we reviewed your California return and everything looks good”.

I see no way to edit anything on state return.

I have California and it works right for me.  Where did you enter it?  Bond interest should be in box 3 on the 1099-INT.

You might want to see this thread on reporting Treasury interest.  Read all the way to the end (2 pages).  Especially screen shots from DoninGA

how to enter treasury t bills and i bond 1099 info?

Thanks I found it. It looked like one of the boxes was for savings bonds so I ignored it but that was the box.

Was driving me nuts.

I would at least like the ability to go in and see and edit the state return if necessary but apparently you cant.
