I have a brokerage acct. w/Schwab and found I could not trade or move money. When I inquired that's what they told me. Again I have never lived in Il. let alone filed any taxes there.

that notice should have instructions of what to do if you disagree with the levy. there should also be a number to call. unfortunately, neither this public forum nor Turbotax would have any knowledge of why the IDR issued the levy nor can we contact them. if you feel uncomfortable handling this yourself you would have to hire a pro or use Audit Defense

I understand but I never received a notice. I called the Illinois Dept. of Revenue and there is nothing tied to my social. I have called Schwab over and over only to be told it takes 2-3 business days to hear from their legal dept. This has been since Monday.  They just slapped a restriction on my account with no notice and I can't get a written explanation.
