Form IT-225, Schedule B - Part 2, includes New York State subtractions on your return that are modifications for partners, shareholders, and beneficiaries. To find out which modification code relates to your tax situation, see the subtraction chart here, starting on page 7. The modification codes should also be found on the source tax document you received, such as a K-1.

Please follow the instructions below to clear your error:

    1. Open your New York state return.
    2. Go through your state return until you reach the screen Changes to federal income
    3. Scroll down to Other New York adjustments to federal income.
    4. Click Start next to Partner, shareholder and beneficiary adjustments.
    5. Enter the modification code on the screen, Enter Any Partner, Shareholder and Beneficiary Subtractions, next to the amount(s) that populated in one or more boxes. Refer to the source document for clarification on the type of adjustment.
    6. Click Continue.

I have noticed a zero being input in the add/sub (225) worksheet.  If you remove the zero, the needs review goes away.  See the screenshot below:

To remove the 0 follow these steps:

    1. Open TurboTax
    2. Click forms in the upper right corner
    3. Select Add/Sub (225)
    4. remove 0
