Question

When will Form CT-1040, Connecticut Resident Income Tax Return be available? I got an email saying the form was ready but my updated software says it is not.

The form list says that it is ready for efile and print.  It might be a good idea to clear your browser's cache and cookies and see if the update goes through.

Here is how to clear that information.

Clearing cache and cookies didn't work.  Guess I will call customer service.  I saw one suggestion to delete and reinstall Turbotax, I don't want to unless that's the only way to get this resolved.  Never had a problem with Turbotax in all the years I've been using it, this is very frustrating.

I was unable to file because TurboTax said that the CT-1040 form was not ready, so I signed up to be notified by email when they are ready, but when I got an email saying that they are ready I updated TurboTax and got the same error again.

I have done this 3 times now over the course of 2 weeks...please tell me how to fix this if the CT-1040 form is ready (which the email says it is), or fix how to fix the TurboTax notifications so that they don't tell you a product is ready when it is not.

When you say you have done this 3 times now, what is this? Have you uninstalled your software, restarted your computer and then reinstalled your software?

When will the CT-1040 be available?

The CT 1040 Forms are available now.  If you start a new return, you should have no problem.  If you have already started a CT return, the updated forms will not be applied.  Find the forms button at the top of your turbotax display and click on it, then click on CT 1040.  There should be dates at the top - 1/1/24 to 12/31/24.  I deleted them, left them blank (with help from a turbotax technician with customer support) and I was then able to file my CT return.  Hope this helps.
