Where do I show that we don't have to file the state taxes because we don't have any taken out since we are native americans living on our reservation?

Is the money you earn on the reservation or off the reservation? If it is on the reservation, then generally, you would not need to pay state taxes on the income you earn. There is no place to show that you do not need to file, you simply would not file.

If it is off the reservation, then you would need to pay taxes on the income you earn.
