I would like to take a deeper look at this. However, I need a diagnostic file which is a copy of your tax return that has all of your personal information removed. You can send one to us by following the directions below based upon the version of TurboTax you are using.
If you are using TurboTax Online:
Sign into your online account.
Locate the Tax Tools on the left-hand side of the screen.
A drop-down will appear. Select Tools
On the pop-up screen, click on “Share my file with agent.”
This will generate a message that a diagnostic file gets sanitized and transmitted to us.
Please provide the Token number in a reply to this post.
If you are using TurboTax Desktop:
Open your return.
Click the Online tab in the black bar across the top of TurboTax and select “Send Tax File to Agent” (*)
This will generate a message that a diagnostic copy will be created. Click on OK and the tax file will be sanitized and transmitted to us.
Please provide the Token Number that was generated in the response.
*(If using a MAC, go to the menu at the top of the screen, select Help, then, Send Tax File to Agent)

Based on a test case, there does not seem to be an issue with the private pension exemption for the Michigan state tax return.
If you are still experiencing a problem, please provide a diagnostic tax data file that we may use to examine this further with real life numbers. The diagnostic file will not contain personally identifiable information, only numbers related to your tax forms.
If you would like to provide us with the diagnostic file, follow the instructions below and post the token number along with which version of TurboTax you are using in a follow-up thread. Posting a screenshot of the token number would be helpful so that it will not be redacted.
Use these steps if you are using TurboTax Online:
Sign in to your account and be sure you are in your tax return.
Select Tax Tools in the menu to the left.
Select Tools.
Select Share my file with agent.
A pop-up message will appear, select OK to send the sanitized diagnostic copy to us.
Post the token number here.
