The EIN  format is XX-XXXXXXX.  When you enter the EIN do not enter the "-".  Enter just the numbers without the "-".  If this does not resolve the issue post a message to this thread for help.

The system will not allow the dash to be removed, once I click out of the box the dash returns.

That is because an EIN usually is in a xx-xxxxxxx default format.  Does this appear as a error message or what is it you are trying to do?

I'm having the same problem.  I don't enter the dash, the system puts it there on its own.  How do I get it to recognize my W-2 as military pay?  Seems to be an error in the system not recognizing the EIN, not users inputting the EIN wrong.  Thanks.

Are you receiving an error message indicating the EIN is incorrect? What indication are you seeing that an error is occurring? Federal or state interview section?  If state, which state?

Also keep in mind being members of the uniformed services is not the same as active duty military.  The US Public Health Service is a uniformed service but not included in the "Active Military Duty" category.
