First, your original return must be financially settled, all paperwork complete before you do an amended return.

Where's my refund - for original return if finances are not settled

file an amended return - how to amend

track an amended return - track the amend

Are you saying that you have prepared the amended return with no change? You added a W2 with more income, it could have bumped up your income to the next tax bracket so that you owe. Whether you owe or are getting a small refund, there should be a change, a zero would be possible but rare.

What do you mean it isn't what it is should be? Be sure to check your tax bracket with the extra income.
