Are you referring to the $3000 exclusion for Public Safety Officers?

Go through the 1099-R screens . It is available for retirement accounts other than IRAs. See the screen shot below. The question Were You Employed as a Public Safety Officer? comes right after the screen: Let's Double-Check Your Info, regarding the IRA box being checked. That answer should be no.
