Asking for “Other State Name” on a PCS W2

When I try to file my state taxes, it keeps asking for me to put “Other State Name” from my PCS W2. There is no state listed because no state tax info was listed on the W2 at all. So what do I put since it won’t let me efile without a state name?

You may have entered a number or name in the state entry box on your W-2 form in the state section - boxes 15 through 20. If so, you have to list what state that information pertains to.

You should go back through your W-2 and make sure you entered if properly. Also, you may have to delete it and re-enter it.
