Change to non active duty status

I was active duty military for part of the year, but no longer am.  How can I change this on my tax forms?

Even though you are  "technically"(as you put it)  a civilian ,the way the irs sees it, you were military before the year of 2016 ended so your filing status is military. Here is a link from the irs and then one to follow from TurboTax. Thank you for your service.
