I am active duty military FL resident stationed in NC. Tax form keeps asking me dates of residency in NC, how do I bypass this?

You need to go through the My Info (personal information section) and update your information.   You can use your NC address but when it asks you what your state of legal residence is, enter FL.  You do not need to enter any residency information for NC since your time there is considered temporary.    After you mark the box for  ''Served in the US Armed Forces)'', you will be asked what your state of legal residence is, enter FL.   Do not indicate that you moved to NC.

If you earned civilian pay in NC, you can indicate this in the last question in that section under Other State Income.   But you only need to fill that out if you worked a non-military job while stationed in NC.  Otherwise, make no reference (other than your personal address) to NC on your tax return.   And thank you for your service!
