I am a guardian for an individual that was disabled as a child  (she is now an adult).     Because she was disabled before age of 18, she was eligible  to receive an annuitant payment from DFAS from her deceased father's military pension.     Is this annuitant payment taxable to her?   Thank you

Survivor Benefit Payments (SBP) annuity payments are taxable for federal income tax purposes.   Your ward should receive a Form 1099-R for the payments. That form will need to be included on her tax return.
