Do I need to claim my military wages in illinois while stationed in Louisiana? My home of record was illinois. I moved to texas in Oct 2018

No, you do not.  If your home of record is in Illinois, you will file a full year resident return of IL.  Since Illinois does not tax military wages, you do not need to claim.   In addition, y ou do not need to file a Louisiana return to claim your military wages neither.
