To exclude your military pay on your IL return, please follow these steps: First make sure the EIN on your W-2 is entered correctly. As you go through the IL return, you should come to a screen, Any Military Pay? Click the Yes box. On the Military Pay Exclusion screen, enter the amount of your military pay in the box (if it's not already there) Click Continue.

How do I get the state (IL) section to accept that my W2 is military pay and yes the box is checked saying it is active duty pay in the federal section?
