I am active duty military and my taxes will not file without the box 15 employer ID number but I do not have one on my w2. I am a resident of Texas if that means anything

    Some customers do not have an Employer State Identification Number listed in Box 15 on the W-2. This is causing an error when going through Federal Review. Since you are living in a state without income tax, remove the wages in Box 16.
