Question

I am active duty military, my SLR is Kentucky; however, I bought a house in Georgia. Do I owe Georgia state taxes?

    The purchase of a personal residence is not reported on a tax return.  However, if the home is a rental and you receive income from the rental then you need to report the income on a Georgia state tax return.

    Otherwise if you have no Georgia sourced income you do Not file a Georgia tax return.
