Al Udeid Air Base Qatar, from December 29 th thru july 14th. I was asked questions about combat zone deployments but I was not in a combat zone and did not receive hazardous duty pay. where will I put this crucial information into my taxes?

You may select "Not Applicable".

Your deployment is listed on Form W2, box 12, code Q.  All you have to do is enter W2 form information into Turbo Tax exactly as it appears on the form. The deployment amount will not be taxable.

Margaret, I am in the same situation and have a follow up question.  What does the "Q" number represent?  The amount of the salary that is non-taxable?  Or the tax relief amount.  The number is extremely low on mine.  That's why I ask.
