I cant select both reserves and active duty when it asks my military status for 2016...what do i do?

You can select either option and it won't affect your tax return.

Technically, you are still a member of the Reserves (Reserve Component), even if Active Guard Reserve (AGR), because you count against Army Reserve end-strength.

It won't, however, make any difference in the program, except for the order in which some of the interview questions are presented - the same questions will appear, just in a different order.

How do I know this? Because I used to manage AGR program resources at OCAR.
