I was in the military and my home address is my parents. I still use it as my home address but I stay and work in another state. Which state do I claim and file?

If you are currently in the military, you can claim the state where you entered the military as your home of record. You would file a resident tax return for the state the military considers your home of record.
If you are no longer in the military and you are a resident of a different state, but still use an out of state address on your tax return, you need to file a resident tax return for the state where you live and work.
