Question

Military Pay is not state taxed, but other income is. I'm not being taxed on ANY of my income and that is incorrect. Can I change this so the correct amount is refunded?

Are you claiming a different state as your state of residence then the state where you earned the income?

Your income should be taxed by your state of residence regardless to which state you live in.

Arizona is the only state I've worked and lived in.

Then, what general types and amounts of other income did you enter in the Federal section?  (ALL income is entered in the Federal section...and then transfers to the state section)

Maybe all you other non-military income did not reach the minimum $$ amount that AZ will actually apply a tax to.  i.e, your AZ Standard...or Itemized deductions may have already reduced your "other" taxable income to zero.

You'd have to look at your actual AZ form 140 to see what's going on, and determine if something is entered wrong somewhere.

Might help if you indicated:

1)  your HOR state

(or state of legal residence (SLR) if you changed it legally at some time with a DD 2058)

2) Types of other non-military  income

and the

3) state you are posted to.
