Military spouse state residency confusion

I am currently a resident of NC. My spouse was a resident of CO before we got married. Now that we are married and living in CA due to my work, what is her current state of residency?

IF you are the military person, and she did not "physically" establish residency in NC after you married....then she became a CA resident when she moved to CA...and  she moved from CO on that date.....and every time you go to a new post, she must become a resident of that state.  (I think WV was an exception, but not worth worrying about unless you get posted to WV)
