Adding any type of W-2 doesn't necessarily add to or subtract from your refund. Your refund is determined by a wide variety of factors which include: Your filing status. Your total income. Total taxes withheld on all W-2s and/or estimates paid. Credits for which you may be eligible. Whether or not you have any dependents. Whether or not you itemize deductions, and if so, the total of those deductions.
