I deployed this year. Where do I mention that in my taxes and put down the information for it?

When you fill out the "Personal Info" section, you will indicate that you are military.

You will also enter your "State of Residence".

You can use a new mailing address if needed.

Other than that, the program does not need to know when or where you were deployed. You will still file a Federal return, and perhaps a state return, depending on what is your resident state.

Thank you for serving.

And...if it was to a designated Combat Zone during 2023 (not all deployments are), then those combat zone $$ are already reflected in a lowered box 1 $$ amount on the W-2 you enter, and also with some box 12 $$ with a code  Q.      Or...if it didn't happen until sometime in 2024, then that will be dealt with on next year's tax return.
