When I enter my military pay my refund decreases

You need to tell us a number of things:

1. Which refund are you talking about, federal or state?

2. Which state is your home of record?

3. Which state (or country) are you stationed in?

4. Do you have any non-active duty income?

Remember that active duty pay is taxable at the federal level, and the amount of it that is taxable varies a lot state by state.
