I received a 1099-NEC in the mail. I have never even heard of the company until the form arrived. I don't think I've ever worked for this company nor do I have an account with them. Could this be a tax fraud/identity issue? How do I find out? I'm a service member overseas so I cannot call the company to ask. I have emailed them for account information but I doubt I'll be able to get it. Please help.
