any new real estate tax laws (for 2022)

any new tax laws (either in discussion or passed for 2022) in the following areas

- buying and selling real estate (land, lots, houses) in 2022 and beyond

- inheriting real estate property from a parent or a grand parent

- taking over real estate property held as joint tenants with a parent

    Hi Loufurut,

     

    Happy to answer your questions! For now the current changes are related to credits and rebates related to your home. Real estate taxes are still deductible on Schedule A (limited to the $10,000 SALT cap).
