Energy Efficiency and Landlords
I’m a landlord with multiple properties. When I buy new properties I tend to upgrade them, and often that includes energy effeciency upgrades, such as Heat Pump HVAC, On Demand Hot Water Heaters, insulation, and new windows. I see there are programs in the new bill for resident homeowners, but can I take advantage of them on a reoccurring basis for rental properties? The more energy efficient I make them, the lower utility bills the tenants pay.
