I've never had to deal with AMT tax on anything. So I know next to nothing about the Alternative Minimum Tax. For me, my 4562 titled "Alternative Minimum Tax Depreciation" has never been used. You can read the basics here. https://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc556
