I added solar panels to our house this year. I want to be able to use as much of the solar credit as possible for 2022 taxes.

if I change my dependence to 99 and pay in less taxes, will I be able to use more of the solar credit?

Aslo, I want to add batteries to the solar system. Will I get the same solar tax credit with them? I have to add them this year to get the credit?

The nonrefundable credit is used to reduce your tax liability. You should call the install contractor for further advice on any additional items purchased and if they are deductible.

You are responsible to filling out any W-4 that is reflective of your specific circumstances.
