IRS Portal Now Open; Status Shows Turbo Tax Didn’t Give Enough Info For Me To Receive Payment

So everyone knows the IRS Portal is now open for you to adjust your direct deposit information if you need to. First it will let you check your status-then it may allow you to update your payment method. I was able to do so successfully. I was not immediately told how long it will take for the funds to come into my account.

FYI- the status of my payment originally was that they didn’t have enough information to send my payment based on my most recent tax return. So basically I got the Turbo Tax Debit Card-no advance, and not a Rush card just the normal Green Dot Turbo Tax card-and basically somehow Turbo Tax has my information all screwed up because the IRS didn’t have enough info to send me my stimulus payment. Everyone around me is getting theirs and I’m sitting here like a fool come to find out it’s because of Turbo Tax. I paid $230 to get my taxes done by them and they screwed me on both my tax refunds and the stimulus. I won’t be back to do business with them again.

Same here, fortunately we were able to input bank info on the IRS site! Hopefully that doesn't take too long for the IRS to process. I will never use Turbo Tax again...its been nothing but problems!!

@iPhoneGuy86 How were you able to get the information? Did you go to the IRS website and changed it under non filers link? I need my funds as of yesterday. Lol. I was already thinking to re enter my info to make sure I got my funds, then I see all the posts on here and wish I would have went with my gut because I would have had them today.

Same.

For 2018 my refund was direct deposited into my checking account. For 2019 it was deposited onto the Turbo green dot card.  Today I logged into the IRS “Where’s my Payment” tool and it said they needed more info in order to direct deposit my stimulus payment - my banking info is what they asked for.  I submitted my account info and it basically just said “thanks, check back once a day for an update on when your payment is scheduled to be deposited.”

My oldest daughter was showing hers pending as of Monday morning bc her & her husband used their checking account for their refund.  I feel like using the turbo card for mine has delayed my payment.  Otherwise, I probably would have received it today like everyone else. I am not happy about this.

Ok well I filed with turbo 3years now had my refund dd to their turbo card.. didn't receive my stimulus nothing.check the irs portal says they don't have dd info. So I went to enter it in and its saying it's not the right info they have for me to come back in 24hours??! What the **bleep**!!! I'm not understanding and it's so frustrating!! Is it because I'm entering the full amount and not the amount after turbotax takes their **bleep**ing fees for what since the fees are for them to help if anything happens and I'm calling their number and its disconnected I use their app can't get on so I'm just so confused right now??.

Help

We understand how frustrating this can be, assuming you are going the the Get My Payment portal through the IRS, it's asking for your AGI from 2019 or 2018 and the amount paid/received for your refund/owed funds prior to any fees having been taken out. So it sounds like you are doing it correctly based on what you have posted.

My disappointment is the lack of direction from Turbo tax.  They did not give any information on us having to possibly update our banking info. Everything I found out  was from Facebook groups. They have been bad before but I expected them to step up during a pandemic. I said last year I was done. I mean it this year. I paid them for nothing.  I got better support from forums for free. That Turbo card is another nightmare.
