IRS Portal Now Open; Status Shows Turbo Tax Didn’t Give Enough Info For Me To Receive Payment

So everyone knows the IRS Portal is now open for you to adjust your direct deposit information if you need to. First it will let you check your status-then it may allow you to update your payment method. I was able to do so successfully. I was not immediately told how long it will take for the funds to come into my account.

FYI- the status of my payment originally was that they didn’t have enough information to send my payment based on my most recent tax return. So basically I got the Turbo Tax Debit Card-no advance, and not a Rush card just the normal Green Dot Turbo Tax card-and basically somehow Turbo Tax has my information all screwed up because the IRS didn’t have enough info to send me my stimulus payment. Everyone around me is getting theirs and I’m sitting here like a fool come to find out it’s because of Turbo Tax. I paid $230 to get my taxes done by them and they screwed me on both my tax refunds and the stimulus. I won’t be back to do business with them again.

I was having the same issue what you have to do is enter your address as in number whatever your apartment number is on put apartment but your address number one for example if you live on the first floor but you have to enter only your federal return not your state do not include your state into only your federal return I've been getting the message that TurboTax did not give enough information so once I put only my federal return amount I was able to update my information please let me know if this works for you

They gave the wrong bank information and I can’t find anywhere to change it so I can even get my taxes The stimulus check has already gone to a different account and he’s going to a different account yet again from what it says online this is the second year I have had problems I won’t be useing them again

I feel you on that. Been using their products thinking they would get better every year same crappy service. I'm going back to H&R BLOCK. at least they're worth the extra money they cost.

Thank you for your information. I haven't received mine either and I was told it was because of TurboTax. Very disappointing I've used TurboTax for years.

I’m having same issue. I’m getting my attorney involved!! This is terrible service still waiting for my tax refund as well as stimulus. My attorney told me he is going to press on with this with turbo tax. I mean it borders fraud.

I am still waiting on my stimulus check.to be direct deposit into my account bi side my taxes with you for 2019 at the end of March.I haven't received my refund either. And the portal tells me no information. What's going on??

I’ve been checking everyday and the status still says payment not available! I’m so confused on what to do I file every year with turbo tax . It doesn’t give me and option to update any information. Does anyone know where I can call or check. Everyone’s getting a their payments I’m a single mother I need this money !

Has anyone that updated their information on the portal received their money yet? I updated mine on the morning the portal opened at like 6:00 am and a week later there was no update. Now I see some people are getting paper checks. This is getting ridiculous now. Thanks Turbo Tax for taking $230 from me and screwing up my taxes and then not giving the IRS enough money to pay me my stimulus. You should be sued in a class action lawsuit and criminally investigated by the Securities and Exchange commission as well as the IRS Division iof Criminal Justice. This is just ridiculous and the fact that you refuse to refund anyone who was impacted by your error for tax prep costs speaks more to your greed. At best you are incompetent, at worst you are complicit with whatever scam or failure to accurately convey information to the government and either which case people should be held accountable.

No , did not get any money yet after i updated still telling me it will be deposited in bank account i put in with no due date yet turbotax really **bleep**ed us on this by putting there info in be for the turbocard so anyone with a card will not get there money on it. thx to them ill be loosing a car soon at thgat point ill sue for altering my tax return with out giving me the info and what they was changing be for hand

When I look on IRS site it shows my 2018 return as the latest one but I did file my 2019 on 3/5 through e file turbo tax it shows accepted how long until it processes, I am asking because based on 2018 return I am not eligible for stimulus (sold a home capital gain) but this year normal income I am.

I am among the turbotax victims who was jerked around every way possible. I am curious if anyone has received a paper check in the mail yet. I've heard they went out and some people got them already.

i have used turbotax for 15 years this is the only year i have problem with turbo tax. i did both of my income tax on feb 6th and received my state 2 weeks later. i am still waiting for my federal. My federal statius states that i was supposed to received my return on 02/27/20, yet i am still waiting. i wasn't able to get no customer on turbo tax only a live rep who told me my refund is at the IRS hand, try to contact IRS but i was only able to get a life rep as well, same thing they don't have no record of me filling tax this year, they recommend that i print out my tax and send it to them. But prior to my returns the past few years this year i decided to save $40 on doing my tax with turbotax by paying directly. The status of my refund said my return was accepted by the IRS but there is no record i even checked all my past return that the IRS has on the record but my 2019 tax was is still missing. i don't know what is going on, i need my return desperately, can anyone give me advice what to do next. thanks

Go to their portal they have a way to ask questions and they then direct you to the right page, they also have all the way at the bottom of the page how to contact them, I suggest doing an online chat it's easier to get a hold of them that way they may ask u to give them direct deposit info so u can get ur check
